23 year old mother of 2 abandons her dog to die a horrific death of thirst
I wish there was a before picture of the small long coated black dog named Lulu. The only pictures available are the photos of her dead body in the small bathroom her owner left her in to die. The owner (and I am having trouble not calling the owner a piece of shit) left 2 year old Lulu in the bathroom with maybe a bowl of food and possibly a bowl of water. Locking the dog in the room, she then leaves the home for 6 weeks. That's right, this mother of 2 children left a small dog alone in a small room for 6 weeks, where Lulu died of thirst most likely. Photos show that Lulu at least attempted to eat her bowls.
The owner claims that Lulu was sick and wouldn't eat and that she was afraid to take the dog to a Vet. Her fix for the situation was abandoning the dog to die. This woman won't face any jail time but she can't own a pet for 10 years. She'd lost her job and the her home had been burgled--boo hoo. It was no excuse to kill her dog; although, since she was also drinking herself into a stupor she might have forgotten she had Lulu, but that doesn't make it right either. If it had been left up to me, I'd have taken her kids away.
This person let a living thing die a horrific death alone and afraid. She gave no thought to Lulu at all until she faced legal charges. I hope Lulu haunts her for the rest of her life. I know Lulu's story will haunt me for a long long time.
