Portland Tribune and Community Newspapers - Schools beat the drum for equity
"Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day" and yes folks that includes a simple standard of American school lunches--the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. If I get this right--I am supposed to look at myself viewing this through my white privileged world view and make the non-white feel less alien accept that some brown and black boys get a special drum class that no other students can take and if we disagree we are just white racists. O brother.
