The Cult of Personality/Arrogance

I have been obsessed all week with the Dalibama's rock star tour and what it all means.

Someone check this blog out and tell me why I have been particularly bothered by it:

It was this post that I found worrisome:
With the very distinct possibility that he may draw a gathering of well over ONE MILLION Germans to hear him speak at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate ~ far eclipsing the largest rallies even Adolf Hitler himself ever staged in that city ~ Barack Obama’s visit to Germany could set the tone for the rest of his upcoming EU-Mideast tour, seeing him address equally colossal audiences in Britain, France, Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Afghanistan and further underscoring the fact that his will be a Messianic Presidency which will transform the Earth and propel America to stratospheric heights of international regard never before scaled in her history. Brandenburg will be the “game changer” in this election and leave John McCain spluttering in Obama’s fiery wake.

What does this mean? It almost sounds as though this bloggers views Obama as some kind of uncrowned ruler of the world. And what of the Obamamessiah's plan for a civilian national security force? The plan that disappeared from the text of the speech where it was presented in Colorado Springs.
The part of the speech that is disappearing into thin air:
"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Maybe just maybe Barack doesn't mean any of this--he's just talking off the top of his head--but what if he's not? Are there going to be gangs of Obama Youths patrolling the cities--well funded and well-armed? What will be their jobs? And remember service under Obama will not be voluntary and it starts in middle school. Find a copy of the film The Mortal Storm. Of course that might be next to impossible, but it's a simple example of how a Civilian National Security Force might work (forget the book cause only the names are the same).
